Planning for the second construction phase „HIP Two“ of the HAMBURG INNOVATION PORT has gained speed – all areas of the first segment will be ready for occupation by the end of 2022.
After the first construction phase “HIP One” was completed at the end of 2019 and is now occupied by tenants from science and industry, the expansion of the research and innovation campus is entering the next phase. This involves dividing the second of four construction phases into two segments: the “Cube” building in the front and the high-rise building located behind it.
The Cube, which will offer a total of 4000 m² gross floor area on 4 floors, will be the first to be built. Ceilings with increased load-bearing capacity, particularly high rooms and a freight elevator will enable a wide variety of uses for research, development and production – for example laboratories and workshops. Tenants will also have access to office space as well as a lecture and event area.
